Bridgebuilder needs your gift to help Rosie and her team reach, teach and equip young people in Milton Keynes schools Responding to the challenge! Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. We have an extremely high percentage of young people populating this city – and over 90 primary schools and 12 comprehensive secondary schools. Rosie is Bridgebuilder’s team leader and secondary schools worker. There is an urgent need to secure the finance to meet the costs of her and her team's continued appointments. We hope that you can see the challenge of sharing our faith with young people in Milton Keynes and will want to support this exciting venture. Here are some practical examples of how Rosie is able to work with teaching staff and students in some of our largest and toughest schools in Milton Keynes:

I am now working in all the secondary schools in a variety of ways. I have been very busy with assemblies, with the theme for this term being “The weapon of mass destruction” - looking at how we can use our I have lots of lessons booked in schools this term. Themes range from the Easter story, Lent and faith, to anger management and drama. I love delivering lessons as I can meet the young people face to face, learn their names and discuss topics with them, hearing their thoughts and views. With your support, Rosie can deliver lessons about the Easter story, Lent and faith personally to these young people - and encourage them to start Christian Unions. Reaching young people through Christian Unions 'Emulate' update: we have now held two meetings with young people from across the city representing 7 schools. These young people are meeting together to plan Christian Unions that they will lead with my support in their schools. The first meeting was held just after Christmas and the young people came ready for pizza and to get to know one another. We had a great few hours and they came up with some brilliant plans for their CUs. Breaking new ground This term the first ever CU was opened in Chaffron Way College by one of their students. She did a brilliant job, and, although nervous about leading, managed to engage a group of young people for over an hour. There were 16 students there, and I am sure many of them will return to the next one after half term. I also recently had the chance to deliver an assembly in Fenny House, a school for young people who are not in mainstream education. This was a great new experience and I would love to visit many more schools like this and share God's love with the students.
