Easter Cracked
Easter Cracked is a project that follows the ‘Christmas Cracked’ presentation. Similarly, it consists of a fast moving and interactive presentation taking approximately 1¾ hours and includes a costumed account of part of the Easter story and a Cadbury's cream egg for all who attend...and much, much more!
Begun as a special project for the turn of the millenium, JesusQuest has now become a regular project in the Trust's portfolio. A morning’s programme of varied activities for Year 4 children, taking place once a month on a Thursday, in different MK primary schools. JQ provides children with an opportunity to focus on Jesus and why He is special, through different hands-on activities.

Bridgebuilder currently offers the
Biblos project to Years 5 and 6 pupils. Biblos is an exciting and creative presentation delivered by our Voluntary Schools Worker Carolyn Russell. The sessions have been well received in a number of Milton Keynes primary schools. Bridgebuilder
is now able to offer teachers the new Biblos Teachers’ Resources
Pack for Classroom Use,
which is based on the lesson plans and activities presented
by Carolyn, costs £40.00. Contact
Gill for more
information or to order your copy.
MOUSE Team
Bridgebuilder Trust offers primary schools
in Milton Keynes this short-term project focusing on
children ‘moving on up’ to secondary school.
The Trust recruits two consecutive Moving On Up Schools Education
Teams (M.O.U.S.E. Teams!) made up of Christian young
people (min. age 16), university students or other
adults, who can give up to three weeks voluntary work
with a M.O.U.S.E. Team. The Team provides a ’road-show’ style
presentation to Year 6 children during mid-June to
mid-July - reaching over 30 schools..
Lifepath - May 2008
This exciting project gives an opportunity for Year 5 school children to visit the town of Olney and experience the 'lifepath' of John Newton (who is linked closely with the community there, and who is buried in the parish churchyard) and explore the Christian faith that transformed him.
Children attend for a day from schools in Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northamptonshire. The day includs group activities, games, craft and many active learning methods, as the children discover how local history and the Christian faith interweave in one person's amazing story!
Lifepath is planned in partnership
with Bridgebuilder, Scripture Union, Bedford Schools Trust and the
Churches of Olney.
2007 was extra special as it was the
bi-centenary of the abolition of the slave trade (something
which is closely related
to the story of John Newton who was involved in the
slave trade).
The project
included a preliminary visit from a schools worker
to meet the
teachers, enthuse them and the pupils about the project and leave a CD with
a number of songs
that would be used
on the day. Follow-up material was also
given.
