Office Manager & Projects Administrator
Gill (with the help of her weekly volunteers) runs the office, oversees the administration for our annual projects, co-ordinates internal fundraising events, works with Becky on applying for grants, maintains information systems, assists with and creates communications and provides administrative support to colleagues and trustees (among other things!).
Gill has worked in a variety of jobs in Central London – her first was in sales at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, and her last as PA to the Parliamentary Unit at the British Medical Association for eight years.
Gill moved to Milton Keynes in 1998, spending 5 years working at Scripture Union as an administrator within the field ministries team before starting her role at Bridgebuilder in September 2004. For 5 years from 2013 to 2018, alongside her Bridgebuilder role, Gill worked for the Wolverton Benefice as administrator for 8 hours a week, before becoming full time at Bridgebuilder.
Gill is also part of a small team (headed up by husband, Stephen) who cooks breakfast for 40 plus people on a Saturday morning at her church, alongside it being open as an MK Food Bank outlet. In her spare time, Gill takes care of her chickens, guinea pigs and cat, as well as visiting daughter Harriet at university in London, and loves anything to do with promoting Fair Trade, sustainability and ethical consumerism.
