Bridgebuilder has been supporting more than 100 schools across Milton Keynes for over 25 years, reaching at least 33,000 children and young people each year and offering them the opportunity to explore the Christian faith and to live out positive life values.
In 2022, Bridgebuilder will be 30 years old! As we celebrate all that has been achieved, we are entering an exciting new phase, as we seek to bring our new mental health workshop to schools as an additional, much-requested resource. We support not only children and young people, but also school staff.
As fundraising manager, you will be responsible for thanking and stewarding our incredibly loyal and generous existing supporters, including individuals and our network of church partners. You will play a crucial role in sharing the impact of donations, while inspiring others to give, developing and strengthening our fundraising capacity.
The role of fundraising manager will be central to supporting the team leader in generating the income needed to support thousands of local children and young people in schools, enabling them to explore the Christian faith.
As the charity’s fundraising manager, you will further grow income from charities, foundations, trusts and supporters, including major donors, legacy giving and securing corporate support and sponsorship to enable Bridgebuilder to diversify its fundraising approach. The role will have clear fundraising priorities. You will also help to support our digital marketing activity across the organisation, driving engagement and helping to grow our supporter base. Overall, you will be responsible for growing our fundraising portfolio by at least £15,000+ per annum.
You will report to the team leader. You will be responsible for the delivery of the charity’s grant fundraising strategy: creating and developing an active pipeline of prospective donors, building relationships with them, and reporting against this new income stream.
To join our team, you will have good verbal and written communication skills and possess a track record of securing gifts. You will also have good financial and fundraising skills, with a strong ability to multitask. There is also an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed Christian.
