Events - Latest Bridgebuilder events
On 7th June 2008, a team from the Newport Pagnell Churches took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. This is a 25 mile walk taking in the summits of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough with a total ascent (and descent) of 5200ft.
We all completed the challenge in times ranging from 8hrs 45 mins to 12 hours 22 mins and apart from blisters everyone got off the hills safely, although today various aches & pains are restricting mobility.

Whaddon Way Church have also taken up the challenge and will be taking part on Saturday 6th September. For some of the team it will be like turning the clock back 20 years or more to a previous challenge in their youth. For others it will be a first attempt at this challenge, and some of us are definitely not in our youth!

Lifepath 2008
This t ook place on Tuesday 20th May and Wednesday 21st May.
Over 400 primary aged children came to experience and learn about the lifepath of John Newton in Olney, where he was once curate of the parish church. The weather was glorious and all seemed to have a fantastic time.
Next year, Lifepath will take place in Elstow, Bedford and will focus on the lifepath of John Bunyon, writer of Pilgrim's Progress

Quiz Night
was held on Saturday 9th February 2008
At Netherfield Chapel
We had an excellent quiz evening at Netherfield Chapel - our huge thanks to the church for the use of
the chapel and to our superb quizmaster, Justin Wearring; plus thanks to all of you who came along to join
in and thus support Bridgebuilder ( thank you Stephen Mott and team for the catering!).

Three Peaks Challenge
Took place on 23rd to 24th June 2007
Climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours
18 miles walking, 10000 feet of ascent and 490 miles by road.
A Mountain Top Experience To Maintain Bridgebuilder Ministries
The
whole team made it up and down all 3 Peaks safely (no injuries), with 2 of
them completing the climb
within 24 hours. Weather was mostly good.
The team stopped for food at a pub on the way back in Telford - and the pub
was called The Bridge Builder!!
So far, we have raised £7073.
