Rachel Foster

Rachel joined Bridgebuilder as the Primary Schools Worker in August 2008.

In the early eighties Rachel went to college to train as an NNEB Nursery Nurse and has over 20 years experience working with primary aged children, mostly in a lower school as part of the foundation team and also providing cover for teachers’ non-contact time, teaching RE, Drama, PE, Music and PSHE.

Rachel’s career diversified slightly in the mid noughties when she decided to have a complete change and become a driving instructor! Although she enjoyed this ‘U-Turn’ she missed the interaction and rapport of connecting with children and the opportunity to be creative.

Rachel’s experiences have been a great foundation for her work with Bridgebuilder – she is now the Primary Team Leader and has established good relationships with over 30 primary schools, visiting regularly to lead assemblies and RE lessons. She loves to use stories and drama to communicate the Christian faith and values and encourage children to think about what they believe, challenging them to think beyond themselves.

Rachel is involved with many of the church and volunteer led projects that Bridgebuilder offers and works closely with Scripture Union on events such as X:site and Lifepath.
